My new Digital Literacies codex

I came across CommentPress again recently. It’s a theme for WordPress (which powers this blog) that allows people to comment on each paragraph of a post. I thought it would be a good idea to enable people to comment in this way on my Ed.D. thesis.

Therefore, to make things as simple as possible, I’ve set up a new Edublogs-powered digital codex at:

digitalliteracies.edublogs.org

I say ‘digital codex’ because it’s not a blog, per se, more of an online article. There’s not a lot on there at the moment – just my thesis proposal – but it will grow as I write each chapter of my thesis. :-)

    I would love to take a look at this. I am in the beginnings of a PhD program and am interested in seeing how comment press works for scholarly work. I really dig the transparency it lends to the writing process.

    Unfortunately edublogs hasn’t been loading for a day or so now. (one of the reasons I stopped using it about a year ago). Yours isn’t the only blog (sorry. digital codex ;) ) I can’t get to. Apparently one of the name servers is down:

    Nameserver trace for http://www.digitalliteracies.edublogs.org:

    * Looking for who is responsible for root zone and followed h.root-servers.net.
    * Looking for who is responsible for org and followed c0.org.afilias-nst.info.
    * Looking for who is responsible for edublogs.org and followed ns1.incsub.net.

    Nameservers for http://www.digitalliteracies.edublogs.org:

    * ns1.incsub.net returned (SERVFAIL)
    * ns2.incsub.net returned (SERVFAIL)

      Hmmm… perhaps it’s your location. Hasn’t been down for me!
