A little over five years ago, I wrote a book entitled #uppingyourgame: a practical guide to personal productivity. It was well-received and, in the time since then, a number of people have asked when I’m going to create an updated version.

I’m happy to say that the time has come for an update! It’s going to be quite different from that original version, however. For a start, it’s going to be audio-only. My experience as both a creator and consumer of podcasts has convinced me that there is something about listening that is very different to reading. I have a hypothesis that the kind of behaviour change I’m trying to help people make comes best through a connection via the human voice.

I’m also not going to feel constrained by the topics and format of the original book. This is a rip-it-up-and-start-again kind of update. A re-imagining, if you will. As I explain in the introduction below, the beta version will focus on six areas:

  1. Sleep
  2. Nutrition
  3. Exercise
  4. Time
  5. Habits
  6. Workflow

I hope you’ll join me in this new journey. I’ll be heavily discounting the beta version in the expectation that you’ll give me feedback on the good, the bad, and the ugly.
