Hi, I’m Doug Belshaw: husband, father, teacher (History & ICT), Ed.D. student (’digital literacy’) through the University of Durham and Director of E-Learning at Northumberland Church of England Academy. This blog brings together three of my biggest interests: education, technology and productivity. I’m an educator who loves using technology to enhance students’ learning and am always looking for ways to increase my creative outputs. More often that not this means playing about with gadgets, web apps and other cool stuff… :-)

You want more? OK, well I’m currently studying towards a doctorate in education (Ed.D.) at the University of Durham. That’s also the place I did my teacher training (PGCE in Secondary History) and my MA in Modern History. Before that I was at the University of Sheffield graduating with a 2:1 in BA Philosophy.

Still more? I’m 28 years old, married to the wonderful Mrs Hannah Belshaw and have a son, Benjamin, who was born in January 2007. We’ve recently moved back to the promised land that is Northumberland! :-D
