I mean the emotionally intelligent leader needs to tap into as good moods, it would appear from the research, transmit more quickly that bad ones..

There should be samples you can listen to on those webpages, thanks...

Hi, I wanted to let you know about a couple of relevant audio CDs, Richard Boyatzis’ Resonant Leadership lectures (<a

I notice this with staff who revert to draconian methods when behaviour gets worse for whatever reason - they (and I, unless I stop myself, to be honest) lean on how they were taught when *they* were at school!

Yes, under stress people revert back to type. It is something I always connect with, however, in practice encouraging people to buy into this way of managing is difficult (not impossible) It can be a cultural change for people and although they will keenly discuss it as a theory when problems arise where emotional inteligence would be the answer, people often revert back to their past actions as they are more used to them. However I remain a HUGE advocate of EI.

Great stuff, our school ‘invested’ in this 2 years ago.
