Do only those with a certain amount of self-confidence, self-esteem, self-knowledge succeed in managing free time in a participatory fashion? Or want to?
Perhaps lots of different types of, and functions for, free time? (eg for relaxation, for connecting with others, for sensual pleasure [eg great cinematography might be a boon to those trapped in the city, if they&#039;d prefer the countryside; cf &#039;Countryfile&#039;], for maximising potential . . . and so on).
